Donna Cournoyer Obituary

Donna Lee (Dubois) Cournoyer, 67, of Rhode Island, passed away peacefully on June 11, 2026, in Providence, Rhode Island, surrounded by the love of her family. Born on May 10, 1959, in Abilene, Texas, Donna grew up in Woonsocket, Rhode Island, where she developed the strong values, kindness, and faith that would guide her throughout her life.

Donna graduated from West Warwick High School and went on to earn her Associate's Degree from the Community College of Rhode Island before furthering her education through the University of Phoenix. She began her professional career at Gulton Industries as an Administrative Assistant in the Marketing Department. She later joined Pepsi Bottling Company, where she dedicated more than 30 years of service, advancing through numerous positions and ultimately serving as Health, Safety and Environmental Manager. Following her retirement from PepsiCo, she continued her career with FS Solutions, where she served as Client Relations Director until her retirement in 2021.

A woman of unwavering faith, Donna was an active member of Warwick Central Baptist Church. Her trust in God sustained her through life's joys and challenges. She often shared the comforting words, "He walks with me," a reflection of the deep faith that guided her every day.

Donna was known for her kindness, intelligence, generosity, gentleness, and steadfast loyalty. She was the friend everyone could count on, the family member who held everyone together, and the steady heart at the center of every gathering.

She found joy in many things throughout her life. She was an avid reader, a dedicated Girl Scout and later a Girl Scout leader, and loved camping with her family. She was especially passionate about crafting and could spend countless happy hours in her craft room. Her collection of crafting supplies, stickers, and creative treasures was legendary among family and friends—large enough that many joked she could rival an entire craft store.

Above all else, Donna cherished her family. She lived with her daughter and grandchildren, who were the center of her world. She loved taking them on adventures, playing games, baking, making candy during the holidays, and creating lasting memories together. Simply being with them brought her the greatest happiness.

Of all her accomplishments, Donna considered her daughter, Heather, to be her greatest pride and joy. The bond they shared was extraordinary—one built on unconditional love, friendship, trust, and devotion. They were not only mother and daughter, but best friends.

Donna is survived by her beloved daughter, Heather Audette and her husband Ryan; her cherished grandchildren, Jamison, Jaxson, and Quinn; her mother, Jeanne White; her sisters, Peggy Lamoureux (Jean), Monica Atkins (Glenn), and Barbara Mulvey; her brothers, Roger Dubois (Karla), Lawrence Dubois, and Christopher White (Kathleen); her nieces and nephews, Jason, Kevin, Sarai, Jennifer, Jessica, Jeremy, Joseph, Topher Jr., Tamar, Ryen, Stella, Enzo, Dominic, Brooklyn, Maelynn, Sadie, Mason, and Ivy; her lifelong best friend, Cheryl; as well as many extended family members and dear friends whose lives were touched by her love and generosity.

Donna's legacy is one of faith, family, kindness, and unconditional love. She was the heart of her family, the one around whom everyone gathered, and her absence leaves an immeasurable void. Yet the love she shared, the faith she carried, and the memories she created will continue to live on in all who knew and loved her.

Family and friends are invited to attend visiting hours on Thursday, June 18, from 4:00PM to 7:00PM at the URQUHART-MURPHY FUNERAL HOME, 800 Greenwich Avenue, Warwick, Rhode Island. A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, June 19, at 1:00PM at Warwick Central Baptist Church, 3270 Post Road, Warwick, Rhode Island.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that memorial donations be made to Warwick Central Baptist Church in Donna's memory. Faith was the foundation of Donna's life, and supporting the church she loved would be a meaningful way to honor her legacy.
