Deborah (Andoscia) Hakanson, 74, of Coventry, died peacefully on Thursday, June 18, 2026. She was the beloved wife of the late, Jeffrey B. Hakanson. Born in Warwick, she was the daughter of the late Earl and Pauline (Lima) Andoscia.
Deborah devoted many years of service to the Coventry, Rhode Island school system as a Behavioral Specialist, where she made a meaningful difference in the lives of countless students and families before her retirement. Prior to her work in education, she was employed by the former Almacs grocery store chain. She was known for her compassion, dedication, and commitment to helping others throughout her career.
She will be sadly missed by her daughters, Lindsey Hakanson (Matt) of VA, and Jennie Parker of TX. She also leaves her brother Mark Andoscia of West Virginia, and her two grandchildren, Marley and Brycon.
Funeral service will be held on Thursday, June 25, 2026, at 12:00 PM at the URQUHART-MURPHY FUNERAL HOME, 800 Greenwich, Avenue, Warwick, Rhode Island.
Burial will follow at the Rhode Island Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Exeter.
