Carol R. Dyer, 89, of Exeter, died peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family on November 1, 2025. She was the wife of the late Herbert G. Dyer, Jr. Born in Providence, she was a daughter of the late James A. Dame and Effie A. (Petersen) Dame.
Mrs. Dyer was employed as a secretary at the University of Rhode Island W. Alton Jones Campus for many years until her retirement. She was a member of Curtis Corner Baptist Church, member of the Slocum Grange, and enjoyed knitting & crocheting.
She leaves her loving children: Peggy J. Denison of Exeter, David H. Dyer, Sr. & his wife Kelly of Maine, Dawn D. Quinn & her husband Michael of Exeter, and Dale A. Reynolds & her husband Todd of Exeter. She was the mother-in-law of the late George L. Denison. Cherished grandmother of 14 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren. She was the sister of James A. Dame, Jr. of Johnston, Donald D. Dame of Vermont, and the late Muriel Wheatley and Barbara Griffiths.
Her Committal Service will be held Thursday, November 6, 2025 in the Chapel of the RI Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 301 South County Trail, Exeter. Relatives & friends are invited and asked to meet at the administration building parking lot at 10:45 AM prior.
Calling Hours will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday from 4:00 to 7:00 P.M.
