Bruce Robert Gempp, 74, of Warwick, passed away on Saturday, October 11, 2025. Born in Providence, Rhode Island, he was the son of the late Robert and Leah Gempp.
Bruce honorably served in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War. He was an excellent CAD designer, teacher, and photographer, working at many prestigious Universities and renowned facilities throughout his lifetime. Bruce enjoyed riding motorcycles, dancing, and smiling a lot in his younger days. In addition to his many talents, he was involved civically in his community, had many lifelong friends he called family. He loved to say, " Getting old is tough." Bruce will be remembered as a happy-go-lucky guy always taking life in stride and smiling ear to ear.
Bruce was the best big brother to Martha Gempp and a loving Dad. He leaves behind many cherished friends; expressing gratefulness for all who cared for him especially in his last days.
Respecting his wishes, Bruce will be laid to rest privately at the RI Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Exeter. A Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date.
Funeral arrangements are entrusted to THE URQUHART-MURPHY FUNERAL HOME, 800 Greenwich Avenue, Warwick.
