Bethia A. "Penny" Geuss

 Bethia A. “Penny” Geuss, 84, of Wickford, died peacefully on October 10, 2025 at West View Nursing Center. Born in Ayer, MA and the daughter of the late Robert Aldrich, Jr. and Leah (Mellor) Aldrich.

Penny was employed as an executive secretary at the University of Rhode Island Graduate School of Oceanography for 33 years until her retirement.

She leaves her loving children, Ralph R. Geuss, Jr. of Danielson, CT, Thomas W. Geuss and his wife Lynda of Exeter, Mary Ann Aldrich of Seattle, WA, and Christopher M. Geuss of Warwick.  Cherished grandmother of seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.  She was the sister of Betsey Dunley of North Kingstown and the late Robert Aldrich III. Penny was preceded in death by her loving partner Louis D’Antuono and shared many happy years together.

Penny was a member of St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Wickford, loved playing cards, lunching with friends, traveling (not flying!) and “Driving Miss Daisy” road trips around southern Rhode Island.
