Barbara Ann (Hopkins) Moran, 88, passed away on Tuesday, December 16, 2025, at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of the late John William Moran. Born in Warwick, she was the daughter of the late Lester A. and Ruth G. (Anthony) Hopkins.
Barbara was the Personnel Manager for the former Woolworth at the Warwick Mall before her retirement in 1995 after 25 years of service. She attended the former James T. Lockwood High School on West Shore Rd.
Barbara is survived by her children, Cathy Lemoi (Alan), Carolyn Grinnell (David), James A. Hopkins (Diana), her stepchildren, William J. Moran III (Jacqueline), Patrick J. Moran (Gail), Sharon Oliveira and Peggy Moran-Billington (Thomas). She was the sister of Lillian Butler and cherished grandmother of ten and great grandmother of 5. She was predeceased by her daughter, Susan Verrill, son, Raymond Crowther, stepson, Arthur Moran, sister, Dorothy Keener and her brother Lester A. Hopkins Jr.
Her funeral service will be held on Tuesday, December 23, 2025 at 1:00PM at THE URQUHART-MURPHY FUNERAL HOME, 800 Greenwich Avenue, Warwick, RI. Visitation will be held prior to the service from 11:00AM-1:00PM. Burial will follow in Rhode Island Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Exeter. I
