It is with deep sorrow and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Anthony L. “Ant” Mallozzi, Jr. who left us on Friday, April 25, at the age of 57. Anthony was a beloved father, son, brother, grandfather, and friend—a true warrior who courageously battled illness for the past 17 years. Born in Warwick, he was the son of Clara M. (DelSignore) Mallozzi and the late Anthony L. Mallozzi, Sr.
Anthony’s strength and determination were unmatched. Even in the face of adversity, he never gave up. He approached life with resilience and heart, never letting his illness define him. Anthony was also incredibly talented—he could do anything with his hands. Whether it was fixing something, building, or creating, he had a natural gift that amazed those around him. His skill and dedication reflected who he was: capable, dependable, and always willing to help.
He had a warmth that drew people in, a magnetic personality that made others feel seen and valued. To know Anthony was to love him. He cared deeply for his family, always putting them first.
Anthony graduated from Toll Gate High School in 1986 and worked as an HVAC Technician for Carrier Incorporated for twenty years until his retirement in 2010. He was a member of the Pipefitters Local 51. Though his illness forced him into early retirement, his contributions left a lasting mark on those he worked alongside and helped him forge everlasting friendships that he cherished deeply.
Alongside his mother, Clara M. (DelSignore) Mallozzi of Warwick, he is survived by his beloved children, Anthony L. Mallozzi III (Jennifer) of Sterling, CT and Samantha R. Lavallee (Drew) of Ashaway, his sister, Lisa A. Mallozzi of Warwick, and three cherished grandchildren, Anthony L. Mallozzi IV, Juliana R. Mallozzi, and Raelyn G. Lavallee.
He will be remembered for his generosity, his fierce love for his family, and the strength with which he lived his life. Anthony’s legacy is one of perseverance, love, and unwavering dedication to those he held dear. He will be deeply missed.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to the staff at Riverview Health Care for the compassionate care and support they provided Anthony throughout the past 7 years. Your kindness meant the world to him and to us.
