Angelo Joseph Olivelli, 88, of Smithfield, passed away on Tuesday, June 10, 2025 at Our Lady of Fatima Hospital. He was the loving husband of the late Sheila (Sherer) Olivelli. Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Ferruccio and Mildred (Lillo) Olivelli.
Angelo graduated from the University of Rhode Island and proudly served in the RI National Guard 1 Howitzer Battalion of the 103rd Artillery. He went on to work as a Plant Manager in the Manufacturing Industry for many years. Angelo was also active in the Arise Ministry at Restoration Church.
He is survived by his beloved children, David Olivelli (Jen) of Cranston, Ernest Olivelli (Kelley) of Warwick, Lorie A. Matteson (Rick) of Warwick and Stephanie Freyor (Jeff) of New Hampshire, his stepchildren, Farrell Stevins (Lori), Shari Imondi (David), and Ross Koretsky (Rosemary), eighteen grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren.
He was the father of the late Richard Olivelli, Sr. and the brother of the late Joseph Olivelli.
Visitation will be held on Friday, June 20, 2025 from 9:00AM-11:00AM at THE URQUHART-MURPHY FUNERAL HOME, 800 Greenwich Avenue, Warwick. Interment will be private.
