Maria (Brazil) Mallette, 56, of Warwick passed away Sunday at Rhode Island Hospital. She was the beloved wife of Kenneth M. Mallette, Jr. Born in Terceira, Azores, she was a loving daughter of Maria (Santos) Brazil of West Warwick and the late Jose A. Brazil.

Maria was an assembler for Amtrol, Inc. until her retirement. She was a communicant of St. Francis of Assisi Church in Warwick where she was an active member of the Women's Group and Co-Chair of the Bazaar Committee.

She was the devoted mother of Tanya M. Meneses of Warwick. Caring sister of M. Neli Silveira of Coventry and Anna M. Hurst and Jose F. Brazil both of West Warwick. Cherished aunt of several nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.

Her funeral will be held Friday at 9:45 am from THE URQUHART-MURPHY FUNERAL HOME, 800 Greenwich Avenue, Route 5, Warwick (Exit 12A on I-95) with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 am in St. Francis of Assisi Church, 596 Jefferson Boulevard, Warwick. Burial will follow in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. Relatives and friends are invited and may call Thursday 4-8 pm.
