Lawrence J. Rossi, 89, of West Warwick passed away Wednesday at Kent Hospital. He was the beloved husband of Susan (Caldamone) Rossi. Born in Warwick, he was a son of the late Giuseppe and Vincenza (Dominici) Rossi.

A WW II Veteran, Mr. Rossi served as a Gunner's Mate in The United States Coast Guard with Coast Guard Transport aboard The U.S.S. General W.H. Gordon in the European and African Theaters.

He was the loving father of Sandra J. Rossi of West Warwick. Caring brother of Augustino Rossi of Warwick and the late Angelina Stabile and Nicholas, Michael, Samuel, Gennaro and Antonio Rossi.

Relatives and friends are invited to Visitation Saturday from 8:00-9:30 am in THE PRATA-MURPHY FUNERAL HOME, 78 Providence Street, West Warwick followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am in Sacred Heart Church, 820 Providence Street, West Warwick. Burial, with full military honors, will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, West Greenwich.

In lieu of flowers, gifts in his memory to Hasbro Children's Hospital, 593 Eddy Street, Providence, RI 02903 would be appreciated.
