Lauren E. Wipprecht, 71, of North Kingstown, RI passed away unexpectedly at home on Tuesday, October 11, 2011. Born in Mineola, New York, he was a son of the late Edward J. Wipprecht and Sue Grace (Rickard) Wipprecht. He was the loving husband of Barbara (Peronace) Wipprecht.

Mr. Wipprecht was a Vice President & Financial Consultant for many years with Merrill Lynch, Peirce, Fenner & Smith in Hartford and Old Lyme, Connecticut until his retirement. He was a former member of the Essex, CT Rotary Club and attended the First Evangelical Lutheran Church of East Greenwich, RI. Larry enjoyed golfing, reading, skiing, and playing tennis. He was an avid UCONN Basketball and L.A. Dodger's fan.

Besides his wife, he leaves his two children: Karen L. Petrarca and her husband Pietro of West Greenwich and Larry L. Wipprecht and his wife Jennifer of Marlborough, CT. He was the loving grandfather of Nicholas P. Petrarca of West Greenwich. Cherished brother of Sherry Chaisson of Dublin, OH, Sarah Badders, of Russellville, AK, and Barbara Kohler of Addison, VT. He also leaves many nieces and nephews.

His funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 15, 2011 at 9:00 am in The First Evangelical Lutheran Church, 124 Division Street, East Greenwich. Burial with Military Honors will follow in the RI Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Exeter. Relatives and friends are invited and may call on Friday from 6:00 to 8:00 pm in THE CRANSTON-MURPHY FUNERAL HOME of WICKFORD, 140 West Main Street, Wickford Village, North Kingstown.
