Phyllis Hardy Gray, 87 years-old of Wickford, Rhode Island died unexpectedly on October 3, 2011 at the home of her daughter Lesley in New Boston, New Hampshire. She was the wife of Alan Gray. The couple were married for 65 years.

Mrs. Gray was born in Lostock Junction, Lancashire, England on 25 July 1924. She was the daughter of the late Philip and Florence H. Thomason. During World War II Mrs. Gray worked with the DeHaviland Aircraft Company in Lancashire in the office. She also worked for the IRS in Lancashire England post WWII.

Phyllis came to the United States with her husband in 1951 living in the Stamford/Norwalk CT area for 22 years. She and her family moved to Wickford from Charlotte, North Carolina in 1976. Phyllis was a member with her husband of St. Paul's Church Choir in Wickford for several years. She also volunteered at Joseph's Coat Thrift Shop for many years. Phyllis enjoyed being a member of the North Kingstown Community Chorus for ten years.

Phyllis is survived by her husband, Alan, daughter Lesley J. H. Reed, her husband Douglass N. Reed, grandson Thomas Alan Reed of New Boston, New Hampshire, son Donald J. Gray of Portland, Maine, brother-in-law Alexander Gray and his wife Barbara of Arizona, sister-in-law Brenda Thomason, nieces, Jacqueline Bonner, Adrienne Thomason and Josephine Parker, nephew Ronald Thomason of Connecticut.

Her Funeral & Burial in the Old Narragansett Church Cemetery will be private.
