Irene (Klonowski) Schnurr, 96, of North Kingstown, died peacefully on Friday, September 9, 2011. Born in Brooklyn, New York, she was a daughter of the late Frank Klonowski and Antonia (Arominski) Klonowski. She was the wife of the late Francis Schnurr.

Mrs. Schnurr was a Secretary for the American Legion Auxiliary and worked at the World Trade Center. She was a Communicant of St. Bernard Parish.

She leaves her two nephews: Richard Grabowski and his wife Gerry of North Kingstown, and Robert Grabowski and his wife Patricia of Eden Prairie, MN. She was the sister of the late Loretta Grabowski. She also leaves several grand nieces & nephews, and two great-grand nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, September 12, 2011 at 10:00 am in St. Bernard Church, 415 Tower Hill Road, Wickford. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, West Greenwich. Calling hours are respectfully omitted.
