Robert E. Tanner, III, 47, of Warwick passed away Saturday at Rhode Island Hospital. Born in Providence, he was a beloved son of Robert E. Tanner, Jr. of Dayville, CT and Carol A. (Knight) Tanner of Warwick.

Mr. Tanner had been a self-employed painter. He was an avid pool player and a fan of the Boston Bruins and Minnesota Vikings.

He was the caring brother of Carol A. McLaughlin of Warwick, Joann M. Kirby of Warwick and the late Wayne E. Tanner and Diane Lee Tanner.

Relatives and friends are invited to Visitation Friday from 9:00-10:00 am followed by a Funeral Service at 10:00 am in THE URQUHART-MURPHY FUNERAL HOME, 800 Greenwich Avenue, Route 5, Warwick (Exit 12A on I-95). Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, West Greenwich.
