Bertha M. (Sheridan) Servant,
89, of West Warwick and a summer resident of Buttonwoods Camp Ground for over 50 years, passed away Monday at Avalon Nursing Home. She was the wife of the late Albert J. Servant. Born in Lawrence, MA, she was a daughter of the late Edward and Bertha (Morley) Sheridan.
Mrs. Servant was an Occupational Therapist for the State of Rhode Island until her retirement in 1984. She was a longtime communicant of St. James Church in West Warwick.
She was the beloved mother of Joseph A. Servant, Rosemary P. Barra and Maureen S. Valliere, all of Warwick, Margaret M. "Peg" Davis of West Warwick and the late Sheila Servant. Caring sister of Leo Sheridan of Coventry, Catherine Lowney of West Warwick and the late Edward, Robert and Patricia Sheridan and Edith Rogowski. Loving grandmother of seven and great grandmother of one.
Her funeral will be held Friday at 8:45 am from THE URQUHART-MURPHY FUNERAL HOME, 800 Greenwich Avenue, Route 5, Warwick (Exit 12A on I-95) with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am in Our Lady of Good Counsel Church, 60 Pleasant Street, West Warwick. Burial will follow in Saints Peter & Paul Cemetery, Coventry. Relatives and friends are invited and may call Thursday 4-8 pm.
