Donald Middlemiss, 88, formerly of Victory Highway, West Greenwich passed away Monday at Philip Hulitar Hospice Center. He was the husband of the late Florence J. (Frazier) Middlemiss. The couple were married for 64 years. Born in Cranston, he was a son of the late William C. and Jessie (Burns) Middlemiss.

Mr. Middlemiss was an Aircraft Examiner for the Quonset Naval Air Station and then the Norfolk Naval Base retiring after 30 years of service. He also served in The United States Navy during WW II. He was respected and admired and extremely devoted to his family. Mr. Middlemiss enjoyed woodworking and cabinet making and made many pieces of fine furniture for his family.

The family would like to thank the staff of Philip Hulitar Hospice Center, Victoria Court and Senior Helpers of Warwick.

He was the beloved father of Donald Middlemiss, Jr. and his wife Elizabeth of Kannapolis, NC, David R. Middlemiss of Cranston, Diane M. Middlemiss and her husband Jon Foster of North Scituate, Dean J. Middlemiss and his wife Pamela of Richfield, NC and the late William C. Middlemiss. Loving grandfather of Barry Flinn and his wife Deanna, Jamison Middlemiss, Melissa Riley, Keith Schiebl and the late Donn Middlemiss. Cherished great grandfather of Logan Flinn and Brianna Rose Flinn. He was the brother of the late William C. Middlemiss, Jr. and Gerald Middlemiss.

Relatives and friends are invited to Visitation Monday 4-7 pm followed by a Funeral Service at 7:00 pm in THE URQUHART-MURPHY FUNERAL HOME, 800 Greenwich Avenue, Route 5, Warwick (Exit 12A on I-95). Burial will be private.
