Elizabeth A. (Quarnstrom) Simonini, 77, of North Kingstown passed away Tuesday at South Kingstown Nursing & Rehabilitation. She was the beloved wife of former State Rep. Arthur L. Simonini, District 32. Born in Providence, She was a daughter of the late Frank J. and Margaret E. (O’Donnell) Quarnstrom.

Mrs. Simonini was an Educator for the Warwick School System for 32 years until her retirement in 1988. She was a graduate of St. Xavier Academy, class of 1952 and Salve Regina University, class of 1956. She was a member of the Retired Warwick Teachers Association and Retired Rhode Island Teachers Association.

She was the loving mother of Cara A. Mangiantine and her husband David J. of Cranston. Cherished grandmother of Declan James Mangiantine. Caring sister of Mary C. Mernick of Warwick and the late Francis J. Quarnstrom. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Her funeral will be held Saturday at 11:00 am from THE URQUHART-MURPHY FUNERAL HOME, 800 Greenwich Avenue, Route 5, Warwick (Exit 12A on I-95) with a Mass of Christian Burial at 12:30 pm in Christ The King Church, Old North Road, Kingston. Burial will follow in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. Relatives and friends are invited and may call Friday 5-8 pm.
