Catherine S. (Anderson) Cochran, 87, of Wakefield, died peacefully on Thursday, April 14, 2011 at Scallop Shell Nursing Home. Born in Washington D.C., she was the daughter of the late William J. Anderson and Catherine (Smith) Anderson. She was the wife of The Reverend A. Royston Cochran and the late Thomas A. Marcus.

Mrs. Cochran was a Draftsman for various businesses until her retirement. She was a communicant and former supply organist of St. Paul's Episcopal Church, Wickford.

Besides her husband, she leaves her three children: Thomas A. Marcus of Inyokern, CA, William A. Marcus of Inyokern, CA, and Mary E. Weber of Apple Valley, CA. She was the loving grandmother of Lawrence Everett, Shanon Blados, Edward Marcus, William Marcus, and five great-grandchildren.

Her Requiem Eucharist will be held Thursday, April 21, 2011 at 10:00 am in St. Paul's Episcopal Church, 55 Main Street, Wickford Village, North Kingstown. Burial in The Old Narragansett Church Cemetery will be private. Calling hours are respectfully omitted. Arrangements have been entrusted to THE CRANSTON-MURPHY FUNERAL HOME of WICKFORD.

In lieu of flowers, gifts in her memory to The Episcopal Charities Fund of RI, 275 North Main Street, Providence, RI 02903 will be appreciated.
