Bruce W. Balch, Sr., 57, of West Warwick passed away Sunday at Kent Hospital. Born in Providence, he was a son of the late Joseph T. and Beverly (Gagne) Balch.

Bruce was a custodian for the Town of West Greenwich School System.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping.

He was the beloved father of Christin L. Balch and her boyfriend Greg Thibedau, Jr. of West Warwick and Bruce W. Balch, Jr. and his wife Tory of Farmington, NH. Caring brother of Jesse Balch, Theodore Balch, David Whitehouse, Leonard Cousens, Janice Stone, Arleeta Girouard, Bonnoetta Hanagan, Sheila Balch, Josephine “Jodi” Flores and the late Diana Balch. Loving grandfather of Kaliahna, Lilyahna, Trenten, Kyela and Kendra. Cherished uncle of several nieces and nephews including Gregory and Jordan Plante.

Relatives and friends are invited to Visitation Friday from 4:00-7:00 pm with a Funeral Service to follow at 7:00 pm in THE PRATA-MURPHY FUNERAL HOME, 78 Providence Street, West Warwick. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, gifts in his memory to Hasbro Children's Hospital, 593 Eddy St., Providence, RI 02903 would be appreciated.
