Accursa "Gussie" (Curreri) Simeone, 84, of Exeter, died peacefully on Saturday, April 2, 2011 at South County Hospital. Born in Brooklyn, NY, she was a daughter of the late Onofrio Curreri and Colodria (LaRosa) Curreri. She was the wife of the late Francis A. Simeone.

Mrs. Simeone was a Seamstress for various businesses until her retirement. Prior to moving to Rhode Island, she was a former member of Beth El Assembly of God of Franklin Square, NY. She enjoyed crocheting, cooking, and watching "The Golden Girls". Mrs. Simeone will always be remembered fondly by her family for her great sense of humor.

She leaves her two children: Frank A. Simeone and his wife Priscilla of Port Jefferson Station, NY and Connie Tucker and her husband George of Exeter. She was the loving grandmother of Jennifer Leary of Warwick, Allison Lentino of Newport, Daniel Simeone, and Jared Simeone, both of Port Jefferson Station, NY.

A private graveside service was held Wednesday, April 6, 2011 at Quidnessett Memorial Cemetery, North Kingstown. Calling hours were respectfully omitted. Her Memorial Service was held Saturday, April 9, 2011 at 4:00 pm in Exeter Chapel. Arrangements have been entrusted to THE CRANSTON-MURPHY FUNERAL HOME of WICKFORD.
