Mary A. (Rhodes) Cole, 93, of Coventry, died peacefully on Friday, March 25, 2011 at Kent Hospital. Born in Coventry, she was a daughter of the late John W. Rhodes and Annie (Hinsley) Rhodes. She was the wife of the late Charles N. Cole, Jr.


Mrs. Cole was a Factory Worker for Concordia Manufacturing until her retirement in 1980. She loved to cook, bake, sew, and crochet. She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary VFW.


She leaves her three children: Lloyd H. Card, Jr. of NH, Shelley Dona, and Donna Cole, both of Coventry. She was the mother of the late Andrew J. Styga, Jr. She was the loving Grandmother of eight grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great granddaughter. She was the sister of the late John Rhodes, Doris Rhodes, Ernest Rhodes, William Rhodes, Herbert D. Rhodes, Margery Copice, and Clara Sepe.


Her funeral service will be held Tuesday, March 29, 2011 at 10:00 am in THE PRATA-MURPHY FUNERAL HOME, 78 Providence Street, West Warwick. Burial will follow in Manchester Cemetery, Coventry. Relatives and friends are invited and may call at the funeral home on Monday from 5:00 to 7:00 pm.
