Rose G. (McFadden) McNamee, 102, of Warwick, died peacefully at home on Friday, March 11, 2011 surrounded by her loving daughters. Born in Woonsocket, she was a daughter of the late John P. McFadden and Theresa (Wallace) McFadden. She was the wife of the late James C. McNamee.

Mrs. McNamee was a school teacher and cooperating teacher trainer for the Providence school system for 38 years until her retirement. She was a long time communicant of St. Michael the Archangel Church of Providence. She was a graduate of RI College of Education, a member of the RI College Alumni Association, the RI Retired Teachers Association, and the National Teachers Association.

She was the mother of Marion L. Cipolla of Worcester, MA, Susan M. Greeley of East Greenwich, and Kathleen A. McNamee of Warwick and the late James C. McNamee Jr. She was the loving grandmother of Sarah Witt, Rebecca Girard; Caitlin, Andrew and Anna Greeley; Seamus, Brynn and Molly McNamee. Her great-grandchildren were Louisa, Gabriella and Daniel Girard. She was the sister of the late John P. McFadden and Marion L. McFadden.

Her funeral will be held Thursday, March 17, 2011 at 8:45 am from the URQUHART-MURPHY FUNERAL HOME, 800 Greenwich Avenue, Route 5, Greenwood, Warwick (Exit 12A off I-95) with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am in St. Michael the Archangel Church, 239 Oxford Street, Providence. Burial will be in St. Charles Cemetery, Blackstone, MA. Relatives and friends are invited and may call at the funeral home on Wednesday, from 5:00 to 7:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, gifts in her memory to St. Michael the Archangel Church, 239 Oxford Street, Providence, RI 02905 would be appreciated.
