Dr. Ali Seyedi, 76, of Easton, MA, passed away Wednesday at Massachusetts General Hospital. He was the beloved husband of Nahid (Shah-hosseini) Seyedi. Born in Mashad, Iran, he was a son of the late Hassan and Ozra (Shalchi) Seyedi.

An Organic Chemist who loved teaching, Dr. Seyedi was a College Professor at Tehran University for over 40 years until his retirement. He was a member of the American Chemical Society and enjoyed gardening.

He was the loving father of Farzaneh Seyedi and her husband Mehrdad Khosravani of Mansfield, MA, Katayoum Rhodes and her husband Richard of Easton, MA and Alireza Seyedi and his wife Azadeh Vosoughi of Rochester, NY. Cherished grandfather of Max, Alex, Ava and Neema. Caring son in law of Parvin Shah-hosseini of Warwick, RI and the late Abolfazl Shah-hosseini.

Relatives and friends are invited to a Reception on Saturday, April 2, 2011 at 11:00 am at the family residence in Easton, MA. Calling hours respectfully omitted. Burial was private. Arrangements by THE PRATA-MURPHY FUNERAL HOME.
