Shirley A. (Hartley) Pronteau, 63, of North Kingstown, died peacefully on Tuesday, January 8, 2013 at South County Hospital surrounded by her loving family. Born in Providence, she was a daughter of Loretta V. (Kelley) Hartley-Lucas and the late Gilbert M. Hartley.

Shirley was a Homemaker who enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She was a long-time resident of North Kingstown.

She leaves her three loving daughters: Melissa M. Kittell and her husband Mark (NKFD) of Wyoming, Sherry A. Jones of Coventry, and Crystal L. Jones of West Warwick. Cherished grandmother of eight grandchildren. She was the sister of Barbara Miller of Wakefield, Thomas Hartley of North Kingstown, Debra Cassilas of Hopkinton, William Hartley of North Kingstown, and Donna Caddick of Richmond. She also leaves several nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held Monday, January 14, 2013 at 11:00 am in Elm Grove Cemetery, 954 Tower Hill Road, North Kingstown.
