Donald K. Perkins, Sr.,
85, of East Greenwich, died Sunday, December 30, 2012 at home. He was the beloved husband of the late Dorothy E. (Dockery) Perkins. Born in Woodville, RI, he was a son of the late Willam F. Perkins and Marion A. (Enos) Perkins.
Mr. Perkins was the owner of Perkins Lace until his retirement. He proudly served in the U.S. Navy during WWII and was a member of Charity Lodge #23 F&AM.
He leaves his two sons, Donald K, Perkins, Jr. and his wife Kathleen of Exeter and Mark W. Perkins of Florida. Cherished grandfather of Stephanie Perkins. He was the brother of Robert Perkins of Lafayette, IN, Hazel Cayer of South Kingstown, and Bessie McCall of Alabama.
A Committal Service will be held Saturday, January 5, 2013 at 10:45 am in the Chapel of the RI Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Exeter. Relatives and friends are invited and asked to meet at the Administration Building at 10:30 am. Calling hours are respectfully omitted. Arrangements have been entrusted to THE CRANSTON-MURPHY FUNERAL HOME of WICKFORD.
