Marlene M. (Stevens) Maher,
75, of Zephyrhills, Florida, died November, 8, 2012 at Gulfside Regional Hospice Center. She was the beloved wife of Edmund F. Maher. Born in Providence, she was a daughter of the late Michael A. "Mickey" Stevens and Minna F. (Schoennagel) Stevens.
Mrs. Maher was employed as a Secretary in the Planning Department for the City of Warwick until her retirement. She was a Communicant of St. Kevin Church.
Besides her husband, she leaves six children: Vincent F. Maher of Ocala, FL, Edmund F. Maher, III of MD, Karen F. Hanrahan of Troy, NH, Valerie A. Andreozzi of Warwick, Jeanne A. Allamby of NC, and Colleen E. White of Warwick. Cherished grandmother of 23 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. She was the sister of Jeanne E. Sjovall of Barrington, Isabel M. Coutcher of Zephyrhills, FL, and the late Gloria H. Coutcher, David C., Charles H. and Theodore J. Stevens.
Her funeral will be held Saturday, November 25, 2012 at 8:45 am from THE URQHART-MURPHY FUNERAL HOME, 800 Greenwich Avenue, Route 5, Greenwood, Warwick (Exit 12A off I-95) with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am in St. Kevin Church, 333 Sandy Lane, Warwick. Burial will follow in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. Relatives and friends are invited and may call at the funeral home on Friday from 5:00 to 8:00 pm.
