Frank Alvarez, 74, of West Kingston, died peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family on Tuesday, October 16, 2012. He was the beloved husband of the Rev. Virginia (Castro) Alvarez.

Born in New York, NY, he was the son of the late Frank Alvarez and Adelaide (Morin) Alvarez.

Frank was the owner of F.H. Pest Control for many years.

He was an active member of First Baptist Church in Wickford. He enjoyed reading scripture, singing, cooking for church fundraisers and deep sea fishing.

Besides his wife, he leaves his three sons: Franz C. Alvarez of New York, SFC Ruben J. Alvarez and his wife CW2 Pammie M. Alvarez of Virginia, and Frank D. Alvarez of West Kingston. He is also the cherished grandfather of Gabriel M. Alvarez, Quentin A. Alvarez, and Connor G. Alvarez. He also leaves his brother Herbert Alvarez of Indiana.

His Memorial Service will be held Saturday, October 27, 2012 at 10:00 am in The First Baptist Church in Wickford, 34-44 Main Street, Wickford Village, North Kingstown. Calling hours are respectfully omitted. In lieu of flowers, gifts in his memory to Odyssey Hospice, 2374 Post Road, Warwick, RI 02886 or First Baptist Church in Wickford, will be appreciated.
