Dorothy E. (Dockery) Perkins, 83, of East Greenwich, passed away Thursday, September 6, 2012 at South County Hospital. She was the beloved wife of Donald K. Perkins, Sr. Born in Providence, she was a daughter of the late Edward J. and Dorothy (Bischoff) Dockery.

Mrs. Perkins was Vice President and Secretary of Perkins Lace, Inc., where she also served as Treasurer from 1980-2010. She was a Past Matron and member of the Order of Eastern Star for over 60 years in both Washington County and Hope Valley.

She was the loving mother of Donald K. Perkins, Jr. and his wife Katherine of Exeter and Mark W. Perkins of Florida. Cherished grandmother of Stephanie Perkins. Caring sister of Edward Dockery of Maryland, Ervin Shein of Cranston, Robert Shein of South Carolina and Sandra Burns of New York.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday at 10:00 am in Blessed Kateri Tekakwitha Church, 84 Exeter Road, Exeter. Relatives and friends are invited and may call Tuesday from 5-7 pm in THE CRANSTON-MURPHY FUNERAL HOME of WICKFORD, 140 West Main Street, Wickford Village, North Kingstown. Burial will be private.
