Mary F. (Cocroft) Whitman, 84, of Coventry passed away Sunday at Kent Hospital. She was the beloved wife of Kenneth C. Whitman.

Born in Providence, she was a daughter of the late Delancey and Caroline (Baker) Cocroft.

Mrs. Whitman was a Sales Person for The Outlet Company.

She was the loving mother of Leslie E. Knight and her husband George of Coventry and the late Kenneth Whitman. Cherished grandmother of three and great grandmother of two. She was the sister of the late Ernest Johnson and Jane B. Olsen.

Relatives and friends are invited to Visitation on Thursday from 9:00-10:00 am followed by a Funeral Service at 10:00 am in THE PRATA-MURPHY FUNERAL HOME, 78 Providence Street, West Warwick. Burial will follow in R.I. Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Exeter.
