Charles N. Phelps, III, 72, of West Warwick, passed away Thursday at Kent Hospital. Born in North Kingstown, he was a son of the late Charles N. Phelps, II and Stella (Young) Phelps.

Mr. Phelps was a Dietician for Kent County Memorial Hospital. He was an avid Red Sox fan.

He was the beloved father of Charles N. Phelps, IV of New London, CT, Lisa Ross of Coventry, Cynthia Bentley of Griswold, CT, Sandra Vogt of Lovina, NY, Rebecca Phelps of Baltic, CT and Kathleen Elliott of West Warwick. Caring brother of Robert Phelps of Coventry, Paula Labrie of West Warwick and the late Denison and Gerald E. Phelps. Loving grandfather of sixteen and great-grandfather of two.

His Funeral Service will be held Monday at 10:00 am in THE PRATA-MURPHY FUNERAL HOME, 78 Providence Street, West Warwick. Burial will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery, Hope Valley. Relatives and friends are invited and may call Sunday 6-8 pm.
