Dorothy E. (Homerston) DiFranco, 84, of West Greenwich passed away Wednesday at Rhode Island Hospital. She was the wife of the late Paul C. DiFranco. Born in Quebec, Canada, she was a daughter of the late William and Alice (Willcocks) Homerston.

She was the beloved mother of Michael DiFranco and his wife Diana of Guilford, CT, Marc DiFranco of West Greenwich, Deborah DiFranco of Coventry, Patricia Lonergan and her husband Daniel of West Greenwich, Gloria Potter and her husband Wellington of New Hampshire and Nancy Dunford and her husband William of San Diego, CA. Loving grandmother of Sonya Cote, Erica Dupre, Michael DiFranco, Jr., Ryan DiFranco, Angelina DiFranco, Daniel Lonergan, Jr., Duke Potter, James Southers, Emma Dunford, Paul Dunford, Christina DiFranco, Marc DiFranco, Jr., Lila DiFranco, Michael DiFranco, Jr. and the late Rachel DiFranco.

Cherished great-grandmother of five. Caring sister of Brenda Cantanio of Pawtucket, Dawna Ursillo of Narragansett and the late William, Gordon and Albert Homerston, Katherine Joseph, Mary Frances, Nancy Brelling, Alice Boissonneault and Barbara Lyles.

Her funeral will be held Saturday at 9:00 am from THE PRATA-MURPHY FUNERAL HOME, 78 Providence Street, West Warwick with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am in SS John & Paul Church, South Main Street, Coventry. Burial will follow in St. Mary Cemetery, West Warwick. Relatives and friends are invited and may call on Friday from 5-7 pm.
