Joseph J. Astore, 85, of Warwick passed away Wednesday, June 27th at Kent Hospital. He was the husband of the late Yolanda (Yorio) Astore. Born in Brooklyn, New York, he was one of nine children born to the late John and Marie (Astore) Astore.

Mr. Astore was a Sales Representative for Burlington Industries for 35 years until his retirement. He served in The United States Army during WW II as a Corporal. He enjoyed socializing with family and friends and attending the Pilgrim and Buttonwoods Senior Centers.

He is survived by his children John Astore of Atlanta, GA and Marie Webster and her husband Donald of Warwick; a brother Fred Astore of Sacramento, CA; his greatest pride and joy his two granddaughters Lindsay and Kelly Webster; and a grandson Nicholas Astore.

His Funeral Service was held on Friday, June 29, 2012 in THE URQUHART-MURPHY FUNERAL HOME, 800 Greenwich Avenue, Route 5, Warwick (Exit 12A on I-95) followed by burial in R.I. Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Exeter.
