Dorothy May (Haskell) Crandall, 81, of North Kingstown, died peacefully at South County Nursing & Rehabilitation Center. Born in Cape Cod, Massachusetts, she was a daughter of the late Charles C. Haskell and Dorothy M. (Lee) Haskell. She was the beloved wife of John F. Crandall, Jr.

Mrs. Crandall was the Tax Collector for the town of North Kingstown for 22 years until her retirement. She was a communicant and former treasurer of St. Paul's Episcopal Church, Wickford, and was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star.

Besides her husband, she leaves her sister, Gladys I. Semarge of Gowanda, NY. She was the loving aunt of Linda L. Henri-Bowles of Gowanda, NY, Cheryl A. Moody of Cheshire, CT, and great-aunt of Robert E. Bowles and Ronda L. Bowles, both of Burley, Idaho.

At Dorothy's request, her funeral and burial will be private. Gifts in her memory to St. Paul's Episcopal Church, 55 Main Street, Wickford RI 02852 will be appreciated.
