Sheldon L. Seltzer, 84, of Coventry passed away Friday at Miriam Hospital. He was the beloved husband of Jane M. (Artaud) Seltzer. Born in Providence, he was a son of the late Paul and Bertha (Zura) Seltzer.

A Painter for 30 years, Mr. Seltzer retired from H.W. Ellis, Inc. in 1985. He was the President of Painters Local 195 for 10 years and trustee of the Pension and Union fund.

He was a Mason with Mt. Vernon Lodge #4 and a past member of the Grand Tall Cedars.

He was the loving father of Philip A. Gordon and his wife Elaine of Cranston, Robert W. Seltzer (Chief Central Coventry Fire Dist.) and his wife Cheryl of Coventry and Jeanne McMath and her husband John of North Attleboro. Cherished grandfather of six and great-grandfather of five. Caring brother of Jerome Seltzer of Smithfield, Harvey Seltzer of South Chatham, MA and the late Melvyn and Morton Seltzer.

His Family will receive relatives and friends on Thursday from 10:30-11:30 am in The Mausoleum Chapel of Highland Memorial Park, Rhode Island Avenue (off George Waterman Road), Johnston followed by a Funeral Service at 11:30 am.

In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory to Rhode Island Shriners, One Rhodes Place, Cranston, RI 02905 would be appreciated.
