Barbara H. (Dailey) Ricci, RN, 84, of Warwick passed away Thursday at Philip Hulitar Hospice Center. She was the wife of the late John Ricci, Sr. Born in Providence, she was a daughter of the late Charles J. and Mabel A. (Godfrey) Dailey.

A Registered Nurse, Mrs. Ricci was the Director of Nursing for Rhode Island Hospital. She was a graduate of Classical High School, class of 1945 and R.I. Hospital School of Nursing, class of 1948, under the U.S. Cadet Nurse Corps Program established during WW II.

A communicant of St. William Parish in Warwick, she was a past president of the St. William Rosary and Alter Society. She was a member of the R.I. Hospital Nurses Alumni Association.

She was the beloved mother of Joseph C. Ricci and his wife Ethel of Warwick, John Ricci, Jr. of Warwick, Joan Ricci and her husband Charles Hoar of Marco Island, FL, Margaret M. O'Brien and her husband Barry of Warwick and Elizabeth B. Ricci and her husband Bernard Russell of Cranston. Loving grandmother of Meghan Greene and Joseph and Adam Ricci. She was the sister of the late Charles, Eugene, John, Edmund, Mabel and Rosamond Dailey.

Her funeral will be held Monday at 8:45 am from THE URQUHART-MURPHY FUNERAL HOME, 800 Greenwich Avenue, Route 5, Warwick (Exit 12A on I-95) with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am in St. William Church, 200 Pettaconsett Avenue, Warwick. Burial will follow in R.I. Veterans Memorial Cemetery. Relatives and friends are invited and may call Sunday 5-8 pm.
