Rita M. (Loranger) Lamothe, 90, formerly of Manning Court, Coventry passed away Sunday at Coventry Health Center. She was the wife of the late Gerard E. Lamothe and the longtime companion of the late Jules Richer. Born in Coventry, she was a daughter of the late Adelard and Emma (Laframboise) Loranger.

Mrs. Lamothe was a Clinic Coordinator for the V.A. Regional Medical Center in Providence for 10 years, retiring in 1985. She was a communicant of St. Vincent de Paul Church, where she served as a Eucharistic Minister. She was a member of the Marie Rivier Society and the Franco-American Society. Mrs. Lamothe enjoyed gardening, reading, music and her family.

She was the beloved mother of Rita M. Hamlin of Warwick, Claire D. Murray and her husband Paul of Coventry, Edward G. Lamothe of Coventry and Jean A. Lamothe of West Warwick. Loving grandmother of seven and great-grandmother of seven. She was the sister of the late Gerard Loranger, Fred Loranger, Viola Greco and Claire Lamothe.

Relatives and friends are invited to a Mass of Christian Burial on Friday at 10:00 am in St. Vincent de Paul Church, 6 St. Vincent de Paul Street, Coventry. Burial private. Calling hours are respectfully omitted.
