Gilda M. Oliveira, 82, of West Warwick passed away Monday at Rhode Island Hospital. She was the wife of the late Manuel Oliveira. Born in Sao Miguel, Azores, she was a daughter of the late Augusto and Maria Ponte.

Mrs. Oliveira was a Machine Operator for Leviton Manufacturing Co. She was a member of St. Anthony's Church in West Warwick and the Holy Rosary Sodality.

She was the beloved mother of Joseph M. Oliveira of Cranston, Anthony D. Oliveira of Warwick, Mary Jane Resende of East Providence, Marie Renfro of West Warwick and Ana DelVecchio of West Warwick. Loving grandmother of eleven and great grandmother of four. Caring sister of Jose Ponte of Fall River, MA, Rosa Leander of Coventry and the late Maria H. Couto.

Her funeral will be held Friday at 9:00 am from THE PRATA-MURPHY FUNERAL HOME, 78 Providence Street, West Warwick with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am in St. Anthony Church, Maple Avenue, West Warwick. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, West Warwick. Relatives and friends are invited and may call Thursday 4-7 pm.
