Betty Joanne (Fraley) Fenik ,
of Wickford, RI and Preston Park, PA, passed away on Sunday, May 6th, 2012. Born in Roanoke, VA, and a graduate of Roanoke College, Betty lived in both Roselle Park and Plainfield, NJ, where she was a homemaker, raised two children, and was active in several local charities. She and her husband Alex retired to Wickford in 1986.
Mrs. Fenik was a member of the Wickford Yacht Club, a Docent and former Secretary on the Board of Directors of Smith's Castle, and a member of the King's Daughters of Plainfield, NJ.
She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Alex E. Fenik, sister Judith Fraley Vogel of Fairfax, VA, brother Richard N. Fraley of Dunedin, FL, daughter Betsy Fenik and son-in-law Cliffe Raymond, of E. Greenwich, RI, son Alex Fenik of Preston Park, PA, and grandchildren Katherine Quinn Fenik and Alex Daniel Fenik.
Arrangements have been entrusted to The Cranston-Murphy Funeral Home of Wickford, and Krowicki-McCracken Funeral Home of Linden, NJ.
Relatives and friends are invited and may call on Thursday, May 10, 2012 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm in The Cranston-Murphy Funeral Home of Wickford, 140 West Main Street, Wickford Village, North Kingstown. Visiting Hours and a funeral service will be held at Krowicki-McCracken in Linden, NJ with burial following in Evergreen Cemetery in Hillside, NJ.
In lieu of flowers, gifts in her memory to Smith's Castle, 55 Richard Smith Drive, North Kingstown, RI 02852 will be appreciated.
