Leo J. Lafreniere, 94, of North Kingstown, died peacefully at home on Friday, May 4, 2012. A life-long resident of North Kingstown, he was a son of the late Oscar L. Lafreniere and Ethel C. (Gardner) Lafreniere.

Mr. Lafreniere was a Shop Keeper at Lafreniere's General Store until his retirement. He proudly served in the U.S. Army during WWII and was a Communicant of St. Bernard Church.

He leaves his beloved sister, Ethel E. Lafreniere of North Kingstown and many nieces and nephews of 3 generations. He was the brother of the late O. Edward Lafreniere, Ruth Lafreniere, Robert Lafreniere, Helen Kieke, and Oscar N. Lafreniere.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, May 9, 2012 at10:00 am in St. Bernard Church, 415 Tower Hill Road, Wickford. Burial with Military Honors will follow in Elm Grove Cemetery. Calling hours are respectfully omitted.
