Margaretta M. (Coleman) Duffy, 95, a resident of The St. Jeanne Jugan Residence passed away Friday at The Residence. She was the wife of the late John F. Duffy. Born in Pawtucket, she was a daughter of the late Timothy J. and Annie J. (Moran) Coleman.

Mrs. Duffy was an Office Worker for McCoy Coal Co. in Pawtucket for 20 years until her marriage and then was employed for 8 years at the Department of Employment Security in Pawtucket.

She was a former communicant of St. Mary Church and St. Teresa Church, both in Pawtucket. She was a member of the St. Teresa's Senior Group.

She was the beloved mother of Timothy C. Duffy and his wife Nancy of Smithfield, Vincent P. Duffy and his wife Joan of Lincoln, Anne Marie Duffy and her husband Dennis Cabral of East Providence, Mary E. Messier, State of Rhode Island Rep., wife of the late Jay Messier of Pawtucket and the late John F. Duffy, Jr. Loving grandmother of five and great-grandmother of eight. She was the sister of the late William, Thomas and Gerald Coleman, Madeline M. McCarthy, Beatrice Sadlier, Helen Hunt and Catherine Moody.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday, May 7, 2012 at 10:30 am in The Chapel of The St. Jeanne Jugan Residence, 964 Main Street, Pawtucket. Burial will follow in Mt. St. Mary Cemetery. Relatives and friends are invited and may call Sunday 4-7 pm at The Residence.
