William A. Coppa, Jr.,
52, of Warwick passed away Friday unexpectedly at Kent Hospital. Born in Warwick, he was a beloved son of William A. Coppa, Sr. and Anna (Padula) Coppa of West Warwick.
Bill was employed in the Collections Department of Admirals Bank in Providence. He was a graduate of West Warwick High School, class of 1977 and received his Associates in Business from C.C.R.I. A sports enthusiast, he enjoyed golfing and was a fan of the Boston Red Sox and New York Giants.
He was the loving brother of Maria R. Walmsley and her husband Richard of Warren and John D. Coppa of West Warwick. Cherished uncle and godfather of Amanda and Andrew Walmsley. He is also survived by his girlfriend Linda L. Lombardi of Coventry and her son Nicholas Lombardi and his girlfriend Stephanie; and several aunts, uncles, cousins and dear friends.
His funeral will be held Wednesday at 8:45 am from THE URQUHART-MURPHY FUNERAL HOME, 800 Greenwich Avenue, Route 5, Warwick (Exit 12A on I-95) with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am in Sacred Heart Church, 820 Providence Street, West Warwick. Burial will follow in St. Mary Cemetery, West Warwick. Relatives and friends are invited. Visitation Tuesday 4-7 pm.
