Robert H. Eaton, 90, of Narragansett, died Friday, February 3, 2012 at his residence. Born in Los Angeles, California, he was a son of the late Chauncey T. Eaton and Edith (Harrison) Eaton. He was the husband of the late Ethel M. (Sanschagrin) Eaton.

Mr. Eaton was a Machinist for the Engineering Department at the University of Rhode Island until his retirement. He proudly served in the U.S. Army Air Force during WWII, where he was stationed in North Africa and Italy. He was a member of the Rhode Island Retreads, Mystic Seaport Association, and had a deep interest in sailing ships.

He leaves his son, Robert Eaton and his wife Linda E. Nedderman-Eaton of Cranston. He was the father of the late Bruce A. Eaton. Cherished grandfather of five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. He was the brother of the late Chauncey T. Eaton, Jr. and Lester Eaton.

A graveside service will be held on Thursday, February 9, 2012 at 11:00 am in Riverside Cemetery, High Street, Wakefield. Calling hours are respectfully omitted.
