Marcia S. Munson , 86, of North Kingstown, passed away on Wednesday, January 11, 2012 at South County Hospital. Born in North Kingstown, she was a daughter of the late Alfred C. Munson and Hattie P. (Spink) Munson.

Miss Munson was employed at the Davisville Seabee Base from 1943 until her retirement in 1971. She was a long standing member of Quidnessett Baptist Church.

She is survived by her sister, Lillian L. Allen and her husband Russell of North Kingstown. Loving aunt of Kenneth R. Allen, Steven R. Allen, Cathy L. Allen, all of North Kingstown, Robert M. Allen of Scottsdale, AZ, Eric Munson of Harrisburg, NC, and the great-aunt of five nieces and one nephew. She was the sister of the late C. Richard Munson.

Her funeral service will be held on Monday, January 16, 2012 at 11:00 am in THE CRANSTON-MURPHY FUNERAL HOME of WICKFORD, 140 West Main Street, Wickford Village, North Kingstown. Burial will follow in Quidnessett Memorial Cemetery, North Kingstown. Relatives and friends are invited and may call at the funeral home from 10:00 to 11:00 am prior to the service.
