Emma (Warner) Casey Kershaw

Emma (Warner) Casey Kershaw, 95, a homemaker of Greenville, passed away Monday, January 9, 2012 at Hebert Nursing Home. She was the wife of the late John Dyer Casey and the late John E. Kershaw. Born in New Milford, CT, she was a daughter of the late Reuben and Margaret (Disbrow) Warner.

Mrs. Kershaw was a graduate of Pembroke College, class of 1937 and a member of the Pembroke Alumnae Association. She was a communicant of St. Philip Church. A former member of the Blessed Sacrament Bowling League, she bowled until her 90's. She also volunteered as a Brownie Leader for Blessed Sacrament and was an avid sports fan.

She was the beloved mother of David B. Casey of Pawtucket, Alice B. McCann of Cranston and Kathleen W. Casey of Greenville. Loving grandmother of nine and great grandmother of thirteen. She was the sister of the late Barbara Barry.

Her funeral will be held Saturday at 8:15 am from THE URQUHART-MURPHY FUNERAL HOME, 800 Greenwich Avenue, Route 5, Warwick (Exit 12A on I-95) with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 am in St. Philip Church, 622 Putnam Pike (Route 44), Greenville. Burial will follow in St. Francis Cemetery, Pawtucket. Relatives and friends are invited and may call Friday 6-8 pm.
