Dorothy L. (Phillips) Carr, 90, a homemaker of Cranston, passed away Saturday at home. She was the wife of the late Charles E. Carr. Born in Jamestown, she was one of twelve children born to the late William Robert Phillips and Lyilas Margaret (DeVere) Phillips.

Mrs. Carr was a member of Immaculate Conception Parish in Cranston.

She was the beloved mother of Jean M. Carr of Cranston, Charles R. Carr of Coventry, James P. Carr of Exeter and the late Dorothy Helen Carr Mattera. Loving sister of Robert Phillips, Thomas Phillips, Mildred Gorton and Helen Phillips, all of Coventry and Donald Phillips of California. Cherished grandmother of six and great-grandmother of six.

Her funeral will be held Thursday at 9:00 am from THE URQUHART-MURPHY FUNERAL HOME, 800 Greenwich Avenue, Route 5, Warwick (Exit 12A on I-95) with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am in Immaculate Conception Church, Garden Hills Drive, Cranston. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, West Greenwich. Relatives and friends are invited and may call Wednesday 4-8 pm.
