David E. Collyer, 35, of Boston, died unexpectedly Wednesday, Dec. 14, 2011, at home.

Born in Wakefield, R.I., he was the son of Charles E. Collyer and Pamela Zappardino, of Westminster, and Rosemary J. Horaczek Wentworth and Bruce Wentworth, of Elgin, Texas. He was the former husband of Marianne Mascarenhas Collyer, of North Attleboro, Mass.

He was a project manager for South Shore Mental Health in Quincy, Mass., and a member of the Project Management Institute.

He enjoyed reading, music, hiking and nature.

Surviving, in addition to his parents, are a son, Mathew M. Collyer, of North Attleboro; sister Siana J. Wood and husband Michael, of Warwick, R.I.; a grandmother, Janina Horaczek, of Hamilton, Ontario, Canada; and many cousins, aunts, uncles and friends.

Funeral services and interment will be private. Arrangements are being handled by Urquhart-Murphy Funeral Home in Rhode Island.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent, payable to Mathew Collyer, to New Windsor State Bank, attn: Barbara McDonald, 444 WMC Drive, Westminster, MD 21158, for his son's education.
