Lois E. (Thompson) Barry,
82, a lifelong resident of Pawtucket, died Friday, Dec. 2, 2011 peacefully, surrounded by her loving family. Lois was a daughter of the late Malcom and Elizabeth (Montgomery) Thompson and the former wife of the late Joseph P. Barry (Capt. PPD, Retired). She was employed by the N.E. Paper Tube Co. for many years until her retirement. A communicant of St. Edward Church all her life, she graduated from St. Edward School and St. Xavier Academy, class of 1947.
Lois was the devoted mother of Mary E. Bray and her husband Edward R. Bray and Kevin M. Barry and his wife Deborah J. Barry all of Pawtucket; the loving sister of John M. Thompson of Narragansett and the late Edward, Joseph and Betty Thompson and Dorothy Andrews. She was the cherished grandmother of Brian and Sean, the great-grandmother of Caitlin and Aiden and beloved aunt of her nieces and nephews.
Her funeral will be held Tuesday, December 6, 2011 at 8:30am from The Costigan-O'Neill Funeral Home, 220 Cottage St., Pawtucket with a concelebrated Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00am in St. Edward Church, Weeden St., Pawtucket. Relatives and friends are invited and may call at the funeral home, Monday December 5, 2011 from 4-8pm.
