Donald C. Mitchell, 75, of Greenwich Farms, Warwick and formerly of Bonnet Shores, Narragansett passed away Saturday at Philip Hulitar Hospice Center. Born in Providence, he was a son of the late Leonard R. and Dorothy E. (Pearson) Mitchell.

Mr. Mitchell was employed with Watkins Freight Lines in Seekonk, MA until his retirement and served in The United States Coast Guard during the Korean War. He had been active in the R.I. State Police Auxiliary. Donald enjoyed golf and loved walking his best friend Baxter.

He was the beloved father of John W. Mitchell of Cape Cod and Keely P. Gleason and her husband Kevin of Warwick. Loving grandfather of Alec Mitchell. He was the brother of the late Leonard "Mitch" Mitchell.

Relatives and friends are invited to Visitation on Thursday from 4-7 pm in THE URQUHART-MURPHY FUNERAL HOME, 800 Greenwich Avenue, Route 5, Warwick (Exit 12A on I-95). His funeral and burial will be private.

In lieu of flowers, gifts in his memory to Home & Hospice Care of RI, 1085 No. Main Street, Providence, RI 02904 would be appreciated.
