Daniel A. Walker, 51, of Coventry, died peacefully on Wednesday, September 29, 2010 at Lahey Clinic of Burlington, MA. Born in Pawtucket, he was a son of the late Mary A. (Goyette) Walker. He was the loving husband of Jacqueline (Morrison) Walker.

Mr. Walker was a Staff Sergeant with the Army National Guard of Rhode Island and served with 1207 Transportation Company. He served in Germany when he first enlisted in the Army and assisted families during Hurricane Katrina. Mr. Walker was also an avid fisherman.

Besides his wife, he leaves his two daughters: Danielle A. Walker of Coventry and Justine L. Capraro and her husband Christopher of Waterville, ME. He was the loving brother of Raymond Walker of Jacksonville, FL, Dennis Walker of Norfolk, VA, John Walker of El Paso, TX, and brother-in-law of Donna Walker of Coventry. He was the brother of the late Robert Walker.

His funeral service will be held on Monday, October 4, 2010 at 10:00 am in THE PRATA-MURPHY FUNERAL HOME, 78 Providence Street, West Warwick. Burial with Military Honors will follow in the RI Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Exeter. Relatives and friends are invited and may call at the funeral home on Sunday from 4:00 to 7:00 pm.
