The First Christian Congregational Church (UCC) of Swansea, Mass. sends its loving condolences to Rev. Tavitian's family, Louise, Julia, Lucy, Mark and Sandra. Our thoughts and prayers are with you as you celebrate Rev. Leon's life. He was a good friend to many of the Swansea Church members and we know that he will be missed by many people. I met Leon as a child, when he was pastor of my grandmother's church in RI. Years later, I asked him to perform the wedding ceremony for my husband and me, and later asked him to Baptized each of my three daughters. Four generations of my family has appreciated his intellect, loved his sense of humor, and were consoled comforting nature. My condolences to his family.
